Let’s go back to the beginning…
It all started with a text by Éléonore Valère. Then came a choreography by Anton Lachky, created from that text. The first version of the piece was an experiment: an encounter between two forms of writing, text and movement. With noVland, unTaled!, we are exploring the reverse process: the dance and music remain, but the story disappears : How do we perceive movements when the story that gave rise to them has vanished ? How do we look when the mind is no longer guided by a narrative?
Here, we seek to create a space in which one can experience their own way of looking, interpreting and imagining. Stripped of its text, the choreography becomes an open territory, where meaning emerges between the bodies on stage and the spectator’s gaze. It is within this space of uncertainty that noVland, unTaled! seeks its freedom: not by abandoning narrative, but by giving the spectator the possibility of inventing their own.
