“Let’s Love Planet Earth” Label

Because it is time to protect the extraordinary performance of life on planet Earth, we have chosen to make ecological responsibility an integral part of our approach.

The success of our artistic productions has given us the opportunity to broaden our perspective and rethink what success means. Today, it no longer seems possible to call a project truly successful if it does not include a conscious and rigorous awareness of its environmental impact.

We created this label as a guide and reminder of our commitment. It is also an invitation to dancers, choreographers, programmers, audiences, and partners to collectively explore a simple question:

How can we do things differently ?

We believe that discovering new paths, unexpected detours, and creative alternatives is one of the great pleasures of the ecological journey.

From Ideas to Action

In 2026, Eléonore creates a short choreography for Les Grands-Parents pour le Climat to help raise awareness about issues related to the ecological crisis. This choreography, specially created for older dancers, will be presented in the context of various activist actions in Belgium.

In parallel, Eléonore initiated a campaign to protect the trees of Parc du Paradis in Braine-l’Alleud, leading a series of advocacy, awareness-raising, and citizen mobilization actions in support of their preservation.

In 2025, Eléonore wrote NOVLAND a text about the power of democracy. The performance NOVLAND is currently touring internationaly.

In 2021, Eléonore wrote a LES AUTRES a tale about the ecological crises. The performance LES AUTRES is currently touring worldwide.

In 2019, Eléonore created Courir les yeux fermés ou bord d'un ravin a citizen act to help raise awareness about the ecological crises.

Steps we take to lower the environmental impact of our work:

  • Whenever possible, we choose trains over planes or cars, and encourage carpooling.

  • For our costumes, we prioritize second-hand clothing whenever possible.

  • For THE OTHERS , we propose a simple and energy-efficient lighting design with a minimal light plan.

  • Since 2021, all our creations have featured exclusively Belgium-based performers.

  • We encourage international programmers to coordinate their scheduling in order to avoid multiple return trips to Belgium.

  • Whenever possible, we prioritize performances in Belgium rather than abroad, while of course remaining open to international opportunities.

  • For NOVLAND and LES AUTRES, we offer educational workshops to help raise awareness

What you can do to support more sustainable touring and performances:

  • Offer zero-waste, local, seasonal, organic, and/or vegetarian catering whenever possible. (As these options can be more expensive, we are happy to eat less, but better!)

  • Provide water fountains or refill stations instead of individual plastic water bottles.

  • Encourage environmentally friendly transportation options for audiences, such as carpooling or shuttle services.

  • Share information with audiences about local charities, organizations, and businesses committed to ecological transition near your cultural venue.

  • Support the circulation and reprogramming of existing productions. Just as creating a new work generates CO₂ emissions, extending the life of existing performances is also part of a sustainable approach.
